50’s Inspired Hair Tutorial

I’m a big fan of fifties style and fashion, and I’ve always wanted to give victory rolls a go, so today I attempted them, my own way. So if you love the fifties style too, have a fitting special occasion coming up, or you’d just like to see how to achieve this look for the future, here is a quick, easy way to achieve victory rolls!

Hey dolls, in order to achieve this look, simply section the top half of your hair from the bottom half, and tie the bottom half in a loose pony to keep it out of the way. Then, taking one side of the top half, from the ends, wrap them around two fingers, and then roll it back towards your head, stopping where your part naturally lies and bobby pin the front and back of the circle you’ve created. Then repeat with the other side of hair, and pin the two together to form a ‘love heart’.

And you’re done! Ready for a night out with the gals, or a date with your special sweetheart.

I left the bottom half of my hair down and straight, but you could add curls, or keep the loose pony and tuck it back behind itself, and bobby pin it to the back of your head, creating a ‘faux bob’. I would just play around with the style until you find what you like best, it’s all a matter of practice.

That’s it from me, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and perhaps give it a go, if you do, be sure to show me! Either tweet me, or tag me (@corinnebygrave) on Instagram.
