Urban Decay’s Alice In Wonderland Palette

Hey guys! As I’m sure you’re all aware by now, Urban Decay have once again paired up with Disney, to create another Alice In Wonderland inspired, limited edition eyeshadow palette.

I was lucky enough to get one, so today I’m going to be reviewing it for you!IMG_2362Starting out with the packaging of this palette, it really can divide people. Some absolutely love it, and some people think it’s too much. I personally think that because it is a limited edition palette, and it’s accompanying a movie, that this packaging is justifiable.

I do understand that for some people it can be a bit much, and to be fair it contributes towards one of the only downsides to this palette. And that’s the fact that because it isΒ so big, it means it’s not really a portable palette.IMG_2364The butterfly. This adds to the magic of the movie. I love that as you open the doors, its wings open, and flutter as you close them. As I mentioned before, this makes up the majority of the palette, as the shadows themselves are located in a slide out drawer and the bottom of this ‘chest’. But again, as it’s limited edition, it makes sense for it to be somewhat elaborate and special.IMG_2367THE SHADES. Let’s get down to why we’re all really here. Here it is, an unfiltered, uncensored look at the entire palette. I’m going to talk you through some of my favourites of the 20 all new shades.

The shades ‘Dream On‘, ‘Cake‘ and ‘Salazen Grum‘ in particular are really pretty, surprisingly muted colours, but if you wet your eyeshadow brush before applying the shadow, it really brings out the depth of the pigment.

It’s also really lovely to see another palette that provides a varying mixture of eye looks. For example, ‘Looking Glass‘ and ‘Reflection‘ work really well as simple inner corner brightening shades, ‘Hatter‘, ‘Gone Mad‘, ‘Cake‘ and ‘Bandersnatch‘ are really vibrant and unique shades that can be blended together to create a really bold look, or individually to give a serious pop to your eyes.

One of my ultimate favourites in this palette is the shade ‘Paradox‘, because as I mentioned in my Eyeshadow Palette Collection post, I’ve really been liking wearing orange shades lately, as I find that they compliment my eyes, hair and skintone.IMG_2368I also really like that each set of 4 shades are attributed to a particular character. Alice, Hatter, Mirana, Iracebeth and Time all have their own 4 shades,Β which really makes this palette even more special, especially if you’re a big fan of the movies.

Ultimately, this really is a palette that’s worth the money. I know that I’m going to be enjoying these shades long until they are start to disappear, and I cry because I can’t buy it again. All of them are incredibly easy to blend, like all Urban Decay products, they are of a high quality, and you can be guaranteed no fallout, along with up to 18 hours wear when using in conjunction with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primers.

And that’s Urban Decay’s Alice In Wonderland eyeshadow palette for the 2016 Alice Through The Looking Glass movie! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, be sure to let me know if you did in the comments!

Have you got this palette? What do you think of it?
