Boutique Of Molly: Spring Fling

Hey guys! Now as many of you know by now, I love a good dress. I’ve loved wearing dresses for so long now that I can’t even express how much I love them, I just do.

So during a Twitter chat one night, you can imagine my absolute joy when Boutique of Molly contacted me, asking if I’d like to review some of their clothing.

I immediately dashed (can I say dashed? I clicked furiously) onto their site, and browsed through to see what they had to offer, and immediately fell in love with 2 dresses in particular. (Well ok I fell in love with about 5, but I didn’t want to test my luck.)

Boutique Of Molly is a really fun and unique brand, that aim to offer celebrity-inspired styles, at affordable highstreet prices. I personally love that brand new styles are added daily, so it’s fun to check out the site each day and see what new styles have been added!

So today I’m showing you guy the two gorgeous dresses that I was kind enough to receive!

ezgif.com-optimize‘Lilia’ Dress

As soon as I saw this dress, I knew that it had to be mine. It fits in with my girly style perfectly, and as we all know, if there is a skater style dress covered in flowers, I’ve got to have it.

However, I chose this dress because I thought that it is quite unique. I do have a lot of skater dresses with floral patterns on, but they are usually coloured dresses with a black floral print on, whereas this is a really bright and vibrant tulip pattern on a crisp white dress.

I also love the straps, as they split into two smaller spaghetti straps as they reach up to your shoulders, giving this dress a fun, flirty summer vibe.

I was really happy with the quality of this dress, as I think I’d gotten too used to how Primark and New Look dresses feel, so when I felt this dress, it felt like a nice high-end quality dress. It’s made of scuba-like material, meaning that you never need to iron it, and it sits beautifully when you’ve got it on.

ezgif.com-video-to-gif‘Rosa’ Dress’

A bodycon dress?! That I like?! Boutique of Molly have actually done it, and created a bodycon dress that I enjoy wearing, and feel comfortable in. Don’t get me wrong, not everyone is going to love this dress as I do think you’ve got to feel comfortable with it really hugging your curves.

It’s obviously a plunge neck dress, but with a magical metal insert in the V, that gives you a lot of hold, so you can feel confident wearing this dress without a bra. I tried wearing this dress with a strapless bra, but it was visible through the plunge, so I would recommend wearing it without one at all. Don’t worry, with the combination of this scuba material, and the V, you’ll be guaranteed support.

The straps are so thin and delicate that I think really adds to the luxury feel of this dress, and makes it perfect for summer events. It’s also quite a modest length, so you don’t need to worry about showing too much skin.

Both of these dresses feel amazing on, and I love them. They are definitely of a higher quality than any other dress I own (apart from my prom dress, ha!) but are still pretty and modest enough to wear casually.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and have a cheeky look through Boutique of Molly’s site, to see if there’s anything that you like, I can’t recommend them highly enough, shipping was so speedy, and the service was absolutely lovely.

My Everyday Jewellery

Now I do have to start this post out by saying this is not all jewellery that I wear everyday, I will usually wear a maximum of 2 or three pieces at one time, not all of these!

I love really dainty pieces of jewellery, and I’ve got a fair few pieces that I absolutely adore, so today I thought I’d share my favourites with you!

my everyday jewellery (1)my everyday jewellery (2)Necklaces

My most worn colour of jewellery altogether is silver, I find it goes with a lot more colours that I like to wear, and it’s quite simple and classic. When I was younger I would love big chunky necklaces, but now I prefer much smaller and delicate chains with simple charms. I also quite like my jewellery to be unique and personal, hence why a lot of what I have is personalised or unusual.

But I do like to switch up my jewellery from silver all of the time, so lately I’ve been trying to acquire more gold pieces (rose gold is actually my favourite!) my favourites include this one with a few tiny gold circles, and this cat one with a pearl and pink gem from Born Pretty!

my everyday jewellery (3)my everyday jewellery (4)Earrings

I usually exclusively wear studs, in fact the only drop earrings I like to wear are these really pretty silver ones with an opal-looking pink stone. My most worn earrings are definitely these pearl ones, and my second most worn is tied with the simple diamond pair and this gorgeous crescent moon pair; moon jewellery slowly becoming a speciality of mine.

my everyday jewellery (5)Bracelet

I do have a few favourite bracelets, but I wanted to feature this one because it means quite a lot to me, and I think it’s a really lovely unique design. It’s so tiny and delicate that it can be worn alone as a tiny detail, or with more bracelets and it isn’t too much.

my everyday jewellery (6)Crescent Moon

I know that I’ve already covered necklaces, but I had to put my moon ones in a category of their own because they are simply too beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever see a moon necklace and stop myself from buying it because I “already have 15”. That’s just silly talk.

my everyday jewellery (7)Rings

Surprise surprise, the majority of my favourite rings are silver. Most of my rings were gifts, so I am quite sentimental about them. And again, when I was younger I’d be drawn to oversized and really colourful rings, but now I prefer really small ones, because that way I can get away with wearing more jewellery and not feeling like it has taken over my outfit.

my everyday jewellery (8)Watch

My watch is a rose-gold and mother of pearl wonder. I got it for Christmas a year ago, and I have never loved a watch so much. I’ve had a lot of bulky orange watches over the years (because orange is my favourite colour) but when I got this one I fell in love with the beauty of it.

That’s it for jewellery that I like to wear regularly, do you have a favourite item of jewellery? Let me know in the comments!

Autumnal Lookbook

As the weather is quickly changing, and we’re experiencing crisper mornings and evenings, today I thought I’d share with you guys a little autumnal lookbook, to give you some style inspiration for these lovely autumn days!

So it’s perfect for just lounging around in, or wearing to school or university.

These mustard coloured button down skirts are everywhere, in every store and every autumn trend, so I’d definitely recommend picking one of these up! Also this look has a slightly different element from most usual autumnal looks, because instead of thick black tights, I’ve matched them to the grey of my top. Patterned tights are always cute to wear with skirts, and these keep you super warm too!

That’s it for my Autumnal Lookbook, let me know which of these looks was your favourite! Do you have any go-to style tips for the colder autumn weather?

How To Style: A Kimono

As if I haven’t already said it enough, summer is here people! And for me, few things are better during summer than having cute outfits planned, so you save time contemplating what to wear, and more enjoying yourself in the sun! So today I’m sharing with you guys 3 ways to style a summer staple: a kimono.

My kimono is a short casual one, from New Look for £19.99

Style 1: With Shorts

This look is effortless, styled and casual. I would say this is best suited for a hot day, where you plan to be out and about. The shorts will keep you cool, and the kimono will protect your shoulders from getting burnt, and keep you covered in the shade.

I also styled this look with a side Dutch braid because I think it dressed it up a little bit, and added an extra element to the look. DSCN1093DSCN1081 (2)

Style 2: Dressed Up

This style is slightly more dressed up, because I paired it with a pencil skirt. This look is great for an evening outdoor summer party, or something to wear at the office if you’re working on a really summery day. Again, you’ll stay cool and office appropriate, while also rocking a little summer inspired look.DSCN1156 (2) DSCN1184

Style 3: Jeans Casual

And finally, you can pair it with jeans. I have worn this look while shopping during the day, and found that it is too hot, so instead I’d now wear this outfit to an evening BBQ or similar event, because that way the heat of the day will have dissipated and you can feel comfortable and look cute. I also added my necklace, because I feel like a tiny piece of jewellery can be shown off with simpler outfits.

I just tied my hair back into a messy high ponytail, because I feel like this outfit is a relaxed casual one, so you don’t need a complicated hairstyle. dscn1309DSCN1334 DSCN1361

Get Ready For Summer & Essentials

Exams are all finally coming to a close, and summer is getting closer by the minute! So today I am sharing with you guys, some of my summer essentials!DSCN0691

So obviously for summer, you need to be more concious about what your makeup is doing for your skin. I use a moisturiser with an SPF of 15, and if you wear foundation, I’d recommend one like Rimmel’s Wake Me Up, which also has an SPF of 15.

The next essential is obviously deodorant! I opt for a 48 hour one, because during the summer you don’t want to have to constantly apply it, but you also don’t want to go without it, so I would recommend keeping an eye out for specifically 24-48 hour ones especially if you’ll be camping, and going to festivals.DSCN0681

Another essential that is geared toward low-maintenance and festival go-ers is John Freida’s Frizz-Ease 3 day straight. Just spray this onto damp hair, before you dry and straighten it, and your hair will remain frizz-free and straight for up to 3 days!

Sunglasses are an obvious must-have for summer time, without a question. You can even choose some reflective ones that not only shelter your eyes, but look awesome in pictures!

My next essential is a travel-friendly bottle. You’ve got to keep hydrated if you’re sitting out in the sun, or just generally travelling around, so I purchased a Sistema bottle that you can completely close, so you’re not at risk of any leaks in your bag.

And a cute little backpack, so you can have everything with you on the go! Finally, for me, nothing is easier and more suited fashion-wise, for summer, than a playsuit or a dress!DSCN0672

Also, some not-quite-essentials, but I think summer is the perfect time for light and bright colours on your nails, so I’m loving Maybelline’s Colour Show 60 second nail varnish in absolute white. This brand dries so quickly, they’re perfect for summer when you don’t want to spend ages on your nails but still want them to look cute, just paint and go! And also a cute headband, it’s perfect for if you don’t want to do any intricate styles with your hair, so if you’re a festival go-er nothing is better than headbands, dry shampoo and braids!

Those are my summer essentials, I hoped you guys enjoyed! Let me know in the comments below what your summer essentials are.

Spring Must-Haves: Powder

Founded in 2009, and winning Fashion Accessory of the Year in 2013, there is no stopping the force that is Powder. They recently contacted me to ask me to select some of their spring products and create some outfits and a wish list, and I very eagerly accepted, for a multitude of reasons; their products are all very unique and suit my vintage-inspired style, and they sell everything at an affordable price! Their website is also just my style, and very easy to navigate, you could spend ages browsing through their designs.

So without further ado, here are 3 of their pieces that I have created into 3 styles!

outfit1

Casual-Chic | Here I have paired the Lola infinity scarf with my New look “Weekends I Love You” t-shirt, my New look black ripped jeans and my plain tan heels. This is a simple look, but remains stylish, and the colours all compliment each other nicely, nothing is too distracting, so it’s quite a classic look. And as the scarf is an infinity one, you don’t need to worry about how is best to wear it with this look, just slip it on and you’re good to go!

outfit2

Cute & Girly | Here I have paired the Long Lace Top Socks with one of my floral playsuits. This look is so easy to pull off, takes no time to put together and it’s perfectly girly. The florals and plain ballet flats are perfect for spring, and these socks are not only adorable, but perfect for spring-time when the weather isn’t quite suitable for bare legs.

These socks are not yet available, so do excuse the missing toes as full pictures were not possible.

OUTFIT3Vintage Inspired | Here I’ve created a very vintage-inspired outfit, featuring the Collette scarf. Again, this look is very classic, as I have said before, a black skater skirt is an absolute staple if you like to wear dresses and skirts. Pairing it with a peachy-coloured top, plain black heels, and I chose to add pearls, and instantly you’ve got a gorgeous vintage style. This scarf kind of reminds me of a ballerina, because of it’s light colour and white floral detailing, so I think it’s perfect to wear with a very classic look.

So those are the pieces on my Spring wishlist from Powder, have yourself a little browse and let me know what you’d add to your wishlist and how you would style it!

How To Style: Black Skater Skirt

HTSFor me, there is one staple that anyone that likes to wear dresses or skirts should have; and that’s a black skater skirt.

Every time I went into a shop, I’d be scouring the rails looking for the perfect versatile skirt that I could wear with anything. I had many skirts and dresses already, but they all had other pieces that they went well with, and not much else. And then I found it. A black skater skirt. Now it is my number one recommendation to anyone, it’s great if you love skirts and would love another, and it’s great if you’re not sure whether or not you could match it with other items in your wardrobe, because it goes with just about anything.

So today I though I’d share with you guys 4 different ways that I would style a black skater skirt.

1. with a crop top – you can pair any colour crop top you like and a pair of flats. This outfit is best suited for the warmer weather of the summer because otherwise you are gonna freeze. Put a cardigan over it, and it could also be a nice outfit for an evening meal.
