Valentine’s Day: Lush “Lot’s Of Love” Gift Set

It’s Valentine’s Day in 4 days now, so today I’m showing you guys one of the best Valentine’s Day ultimate hacks; A Lush gift set! It’s perfect if your other half is obsessed with Lush, and it’s perfect if you really don’t know what to get them!IMG_1038In the “Lot’s Of Love” gift set, you get 6 of some of the cutest love-themed products that Lush have to offer, and I’m going to talk you through them all, alongside one bonus product!IMG_1053

Tisty Tosty | This bath bomb is based on a medieval love potion. It contains seven real rosebuds and has a gorgeous scent of geranium, jasmine and rose, said to be toning and balancing, and floral and seductive. It also makes for a really pretty and relaxing bath.

Oral Pleasure | Now this product is not included in the “Lot’s Of Love” gift set, but fortunately this was gifted to me, and I had never heard of it before so I thought I’d share it with you guys! In this pot you have ‘toothy tabs’, which can be used as a toothpaste substitute. I know it seems confusing, but when used properly it is like their shampoo bars, that foams up incredibly. All you have to do is chew this tablet and then start brushing your teeth! It creates a white foam, so don’t let the colour (or name!) put you off!IMG_1055Rose Jam | One of my favourite products from Lush, a bubbleroon! This products smells so relaxing, and the fact that it also contains rose oil means that it’s balancing, softening and moisturising for the skin. I also really love that it can be used more than once as you can break it in half. That’s twice the amount of relaxation, in one product!

A French Kiss | I had always been drawn to this bubble bar every time I’ve been in Lush, but I’ve never actually picked it up, so I was so excited when I saw that it was included in this gift set! It smells so lovely, and I really love the way Lush describes it, “Crumble under running water for a paradisaical bath full of the lavender and rosemary scents of Southern France.” Definitely one of the most romantic products, perfect for this time of year!IMG_1058Lover Lamp | Do you want a romantic bath that smells like chocolate orange, moisturises your skin with the most delicate cocoa butter, and leaves tiny red hearts floating a top a billion bubbles? Look no further; this is the bath bomb for you. It’s perfect for a girly night in, or first thing in the morning to keep your skin super soft and smelling gorgeous all day long.

Unicorn Horn | I don’t really need to go in to much detail with this product do I? We’ve all seen it, heard of it or tried it. This bath bomb has been proven to increase serotonin levels (they make you feel happy and cheery!), and it’s just super cute. And if Lush opens their description for this product with “Unicorns are probably real. But, even if they’re not (don’t worry they definitely are) you won’t mind!” you know this bubble bar is a must buy.

Sex Bomb | This bath bomb is geared towards soothing your worries, and relieving anxiety. It’s main ingredient is Jasmine, which obviously is super relaxing, but it also said to be an ancient aphrodisiac, so again, it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day!

That’s it for the “Lot’s Of Love” gift set from Lush, perfect for if you still haven’t quite figured out what you want to give to that special someone this Sunday!

Please share this post if you enjoyed it, and help out your friends who might not know what to get for Valentine’s yet!

Pancake Day Topping Inspiration

Hey guys, as pancake day is tomorrow, I thought I’d collect and share some of my favourite topping ideas for you guys to try out!

backgrounder (9)IMG_1107I love a classic lemon and sugar combo, but for this post I wanted to share some classic and newer ideas for topping your pancakes tomorrow!IMG_1127

A stack with maple syrup and sugar | This is definitely a good old fashioned topping idea. If you really want to go all out on pancake day, a hearty stack of pancakes, drizzled in maple syrup and sprinkled with sugar, is absolutely perfect for celebrating in a classic way.

Nutella and strawberries (and icing sugar) | Two beautiful foods, coming together for a beautiful day. Here I spread Nutella completely over one half of the pancake, and then folded it over to make a pancake sandwich. I’ve put the strawberries beside the pancake so you can truly appreciate the flavour of everything here, which you should, because everything here is just too delicious. I also decided to dust over the strawberries and pancakes with icing sugar, because it’s just as sweet, but a lot more ‘Instagram-able’ with icing sugar.

Whipped cream and strawberries | Again, delicious foods both individually, and together, so put them atop a pancake and you’re guaranteed to enjoy pancake day on a whole new level. Plus you know, you’ve got spare whipped cream and strawberries ready for Valentines Day, just saying.

Banana and pecan nuts | I know this isn’t your ordinary pancake topping, but it really is a tasty combo. Plus it’s really healthy! So if you don’t want to go overboard with chocolate spread or sugar, this is quite a healthy alternative.

Chocolate sauce and pecan nuts | This is obviously similar to the banana and pecan combo, but with a little naughty treat, because dude, pancake day is only once a year.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and got some inspo for your pancakes tomorrow! Check out my entire Food section of my blog HERE for more recipes!

Guide To Halloween Decor

Hey guys! I’m back once again, with another Halloween-themed post! Today I thought since Halloween is fast approaching, I’d give you guys my ultimate guide to Halloween decor. Whether you only have a small area to decorate, or if you’d like to go all-out all over your house, I’ve got you covered!Guide To Halloween Decor  Just a touch of spidery spook | These webs really are quite cheap, and it can be all you need to bring a Halloween touch to a room!Guide To Halloween Decor Balloons | If you’re not really into spooky decor, then you can  opt for a much more cutesy decoration, like these balloons. They are in-keeping with the Halloween theme because they’re orange and black, but much more suitable for if you don’t like scary over the top decorations.Guide To Halloween Decor Guide To Halloween Decor Concentrated creep | This type of decoration is perfect if you don’t have a really large area to decorate, but you still want to get into the spirit of Halloween. Just add some fake spider webs to some existing decoration in the area, like I have here with the lanterns. Then add some Halloween-themed tea light candle holders, and a sign, maybe that says ‘Happy Halloween’ or something spooky.Guide To Halloween Decor Guide To Halloween Decor Guide To Halloween Decor Halloween Bunting | If you’ve got the room for it, I’d definitely recommend having Halloween-themed bunting up. This is because it brings the whole room together, and it can be one of the only pieces of decoration you have up, but it’s plenty to bring a Halloween vibe.

Eerie Balloon | I little trick I’ve picked up is, if you use double-sided tape and put it on the back of a balloon, you can stick it up anywhere, and it looks really creepy, as if it’s floating in mid air, on its own.Guide To Halloween Decor Pumpkins | If nothing else, you should at least have carved a pumpkin!Guide To Halloween Decor Fairy Lights | If you’re into super cute and reasonably girly things like I am, fairy lights are suitable for almost every holiday and event; trust me. These cute pumpkin ones were very cheap, and are so light, then can be put up anywhere, and they’ll last for the whole season!Guide To Halloween Decor

That’s it for my guide to Halloween decor, I hope I inspired you guys and you can take some ideas from this post, let me know in the comments if you’ve got any more tips for Halloween (or Christmas, let’s be real, it’s coming up!) decoration ideas that I haven’t mentioned!

Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition

This past week, myself and my brother jumped right into the Halloween spirit by having a pumpkin carving competition!

I chose to carve Jack Skellington into my pumpkin, as he is immediately recognisable, and makes for a super cool pumpkin.DSCN2706 My brother actually went for quite a similar design, not Jack Skellington, it was simply a creepy pumpkin face.DSCN2707 DSCN2708 Once we had cleaned up our pumpkins and tidied up the edges, we were ready to put the candles in them, and fully appreciate them.DSCN2713

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post, don’t forget to share your pumpkins with me, I’d love to see them! You can tag me in them on Twitter or Instagram @corinnebygrave

Snapchat Filter Halloween Costume

Hey guys! Today I thought I’d share a quick halloween makeup tutorial, a Snapchat filter! As most of you probably know by now, a few weeks back, Snapchat unveiled their latest features, one of which was a super cute rainbow-puke filter. And since we’re nearing halloween, I thought this would be a super easy last-minute makeup look for anyone that doesn’t have a costume yet!

So I started out by doing my regular face and basic eye makeup, just a touch of gold on the lids and wings, with a little bit of mascara.

Then you start by creating a small rainbow on your chin. I used face paints to achieve this look, but you could use liquid lipsticks, eyeshadows, or anything that will be highly pigmented when applied to your face.   Snapchat Filter Halloween Costume Makeup Tutorial Once you’ve finished the chin, you can bring the rainbow down onto your neck and chest. I’ve put a little wave in it because that’s how the filter falls when it’s on Snapchat.Snapchat Filter Halloween Costume Makeup Tutorial Now for some smaller details, I added little stars and sparkles with a white eyeliner pencil, and a little cloud attached to the end of the rainbow.Snapchat Filter Halloween Costume Makeup TutorialSnapchat Filter Halloween Costume Makeup Tutorial Finally I added some white eyeliner to my waterline and bottom lash line, making my eyes look bigger, and a lot of blush to the apples of my cheeks, because the filter makes your eyes very big, and cheeks very flushed.

I then blended my cheeks, and you’re done!Snapchat Filter Halloween Costume Makeup Tutorial

And that’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed this fun tutorial, it really is super quick and easy if you don’t have a costume preprepared, or if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a costume! Let me know if you give this look a go for halloween!
