My Lipstick Collection

Hey guys! Since sharing my Eyeshadow Palette Collection, my Nail Varnish Collection, and an exclusively Makeup Revolution Collection, I realised that it’s quite fun talking about my collections, and therefore I decided to share another one, my lipsticks. So with further introduction, here’s my lipstick collection!

Below I’ve showcased each lipstick, and then detailed their names in order (from left to right) as shown on the swatches underneath.IMG_8155MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande Dangerous Woman Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys! As Ariana Grande’s latest album, Dangerous Woman, was released today, I thought it’d be fun to recreate the makeup look that she wore in the Dangerous Woman music video.

It’s actually a surprisingly easy look to do yourself, as it’s a mix of nicely blended brown shades on the lid, light contouring, and a pink/brown toned nude lip.

Products used:

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Eyeshadow Palette
Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Gel
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Fleur De Force False Lashes ‘Fleur Loves’
MAC Lipliner in ‘Edge To Edge’
Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner
Makeup Revolution ‘Golden Sugar’ Blush & Contour Palette

Here’s the tutorial! Hope you guys enjoy it!

My Eyeshadow Palette Collection

I don’t know how it happened.

One day I woke up, and the entirety of my desk was hidden.

Hidden underneath a sea of eyeshadow palettes.

So in order for them to give me my desk back, I bargained with them. They wanted their own post, so here it is.

I’m going to talk you through 80% of my eyeshadow palette collection.

IMG_2353Soap & Glory’s Perfect 10

I did all I could to get my hands on this palette. As soon as I saw it online, I tried to order it, and it was out of stock. I thought I was out of luck because it was limited edition, so I checked every Boots that I could, and none of them stocked it in-store. Just as I was about to give up, a very helpful Boots employee ordered in to be delivered to my local Boots for me.

I’m so glad I got this palette because I hadn’t tried any Soap & Glory makeup before (I know, I was missing out!) and I had heard great things. I was very surprised at how affordable this palette was, especially considering that it was limited edition. I love the shades, as a lot of my eyeshadow palettes are quite similar, but the shades ‘Damsel‘ and ‘Plumtious‘ are unlike anything else I own, and ‘Toasty‘ is a perfect all over lid or focussed crease matte.

Urban Decay’s Naked 3

Purchasing this palette was my first ever makeup splurge, and I had never felt such excitement over buying an item of makeup. The Naked 3 had been my favourite of all of Urban Decay’s palettes, and I felt that the others were quite plain and reasonably monotone, but this rose-gold infused shimmering and matte goldmine had me looking like the emoji with hearts for eyes.

You don’t need me to tell you that this palette is incredible, but I’ll quickly do it anyway. The formula of every damn shade is so creamy (yes even the matte shades!) and every colour can be blended together seamlessly. This palette gives you everything you need to simply brighten your eyes, create a shimmery pink eye, or a dark smokey eye with glints of rose-gold.

IMG_2349Makeup Academy’s Heaven & Earth

This was one of the first eyeshadow palettes that I had. I actually really loved it because it reminded me of some of the shades in the Naked 3, but at a much more affordable price. Again, every shade can be blended together to make an endless amount of smokey eye looks. With this palette, all of the shades are surprisingly creamy (I expected them to be powdery, but they’re really not.) and leave practically no fall out at all when applied to the lids.

Collection’s Little Mix

Before I had decided to make the commitment to the Naked 3, I had stalked it for ages, and realised that my favourite shade was ‘Trick’, and this insanely affordable palette from Collection featured 2 shades that were so similar to ‘Trick’ that I couldn’t pass it up. I was also impressed by just how dark the black shade was in this palette, as many drugstore palettes can lack intense pigmentation, but this one proves true one the eyes, to how they look in the palette.

Barry M’s Natural Glow 2

Another one of my first ever palettes, I’ve actually held onto this one because these shades are well pigmented, and when used together, can give a really light and bright, almost dreamy look to the eyes. I also really like that it includes a concealer shade, so once you’ve created your eye look, you can clean it up and make it super crisp.

IMG_2356Makeup Revolution’s Fortune Favours The Brave

I AM SO GLAD I FINALLY GOT THIS PALETTE. Apologise to everyone in Tavistock, yes I did take the last one, soz. Just look at these shades, do you blame me for lusting after this palette for as long as I did? Do you blame me for grabbing this and running to the till before anyone else in the store saw it? This palette really is so unique, I’ve never seen beautiful peach shades, fade into magnificent blues, to browns, pastel pinks and then purples.

So many of these shades remind me of planets, or just beautifully blended cocktails of eyeshadow dreams. I even love the packaging of this palette, it’s matte and feels so lovely. The shades are again, nicely creamy, easy to blend and compliment each other really well. I’m not crazy, this palette is a dream.

Makeup Revolution’s Beyond Flawless

Exactly my type of palette. Rose-gold tones? Yup. Blendable and complimentary neutrals suitable for daytime and nighttime wear? Yup. This was one of my first purchases from Makeup Revolution, as I didn’t want to go too bold with the shades, but I couldn’t argue with the price, as it included 32 gorgeous shades.

Makeup Revolution’s Eyes Like Angels

Once my eyeshadow collection had just started taking over half of my desk, I realised that I wanted some really vibrant and unique shades, as opposed to the usual rose-gold, pink and brown neutrals that I already had. And therefore I grabbed this palette. Once more I was really happy with the amount of shades you get for your money, alongside me already being impressed by the creamy formulation of Makeup Revolution’s eyeshadows.

Makeup Revolution’s Advent Palette

I’ve searched the entire Internet for this particular palette, but I can’t find it. I assume it was a special palette for the Makeup Revolution Christmas advent calendar last December, because no other palettes have this particular combination of shades. Once more these shades are really creamy and easy to blend. I also really like that the pigmentation of this particular palette can be built up, which I think is perfect for palettes like this that include slightly more ‘unnatural’ shades, like bright pink and green, which is perfect if you’d like to experiment with these shades, but for them to not be overdone and harsh.

IMG_2342Urban Decay’s Alice Through The Looking Glass

The palette that everyone has been talking about, and lusting after. And I completely understand why. I’m not going to give you a review right now (I’m teasing, I know) because you’re getting an entire post dedicated to this palette next week!

There you have it (almost) every eyeshadow palette I own. I purposely left some out so that I can talk about them with you sometime in the near future, so I hope in the meantime you enjoyed reading about these ones!

What is your absolute favourite eyeshadow palette?

The Mascara Edit

I think mascara is one of the first things people tend to experiment with when it comes to makeup, but we often fall into the habit of always just repurchasing the same mascara that we always use, never knowing the effects of endless other mascaras! So today I thought it’d be interesting for me to talk you guys through the mascaras that I have tried, and let you know how well they work, if they last all day, and if they do everything that they claim to.

IMG_2243Rimmel’s Wonderfull Waterproof

I was initially drawn to this mascara because I’d had a real problem with my mascara transferring onto my eyelids and underneath my eyes throughout the day, so I thought a waterproof one was just what I needed to combat this happening. This was also one of the first plastic applicators that I’d ever had, and I was keen to see how that affected the application. The brush itself is big enough to catch all of your lashes in one go, so it’s a lot easier to build it up into a couple of coats, and I can confirm that this mascara will only budge when you properly remove it at the end of the day!

Makeup Revolution’s The Viper

I briefly spoke about this mascara in my Makeup Revolution Focus post that went up a couple of months ago, and like I said then, I was quite disappointed with this product. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Makeup Revolution, their highlighters, palettes, lipsticks and lip lacquers are absolutely perfect. But I think the combination of this mascara being a bristle brush applicator, with a ‘snake-like’ shape, makes it difficult to apply properly. I found that it can give reasonable volume, but no real length or lift.

Avon’s Super Shock

I was really impressed by just how long the applicator for this mascara was! The bristles are short, and really condensed, so you catch a lot more of your lashes when applying this mascara. I’ve found that this product is quite affordable and effective, but it definitely works much better if you’ve curled your lashes first, as the straight brush does make it tough for you to get a nice lift and curve to your lashes.

IMG_2245Benefit’s They’re Real

This mascara is as famous as it is, because it truly is amazing. Just one coat of this and it really gives you an effortless ‘false-lash’ effect. The varying length of the bristles means that it catches long and short lashes all in one swift swipe. The only con I can think of when it comes to this product is that it’s incredibly difficult to apply to the lower lash line, because it’s almost too good at lengthening the lashes, that it can leave them looking spidery and transfer onto underneath your eye.

Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash

The formula of this mascara is incredible, as it never flakes or crumbles throughout the day. The black colour is one of the most intense I’ve known when it comes to mascaras, and Benefit tackle the one issue I have with “They’re Real” with this mascara; it’s really difficult for applying to the lower lash line. I think it’s because the applicator isn’t plastic, so it holds onto the product, meaning you don’t over-apply the product. It’s also one of my favourites because the brush is twice the length of any other I’ve previously used.

IMG_2247Soap & Glory’s Thick & Fast

As I’ve gone through so many various types of mascaras, I never thought I’d find the perfect hybrid of all of these, until I saw Soap & Glory’s 7 sided super mascara! I’ve found that this mascara does wonders for curling your lashes up, but only really adds noticeable length and volume after a couple of coats.

Maybelline’s Lash Sensational

Everyone’s favourite drugstore mascara, and I can completely understand why! Whether you only apply one coat, or you prefer to build it up, this mascara is always noticeable and adds everything you’d like to add to your lashes, curl, length, and volume, all while remaining pretty and not spidery. It’s even the perfect formula and brush for applying to your bottom lashes. This is by far, my favourite mascara, because it does the job so well, and it’s affordable.

That’s it for all of the mascaras I’ve tried! Do you have a favourite that I haven’t mentioned? Let me know in the comments below!

Superdrug Haul

I’ve only ever shared Lush hauls on my blog, so today I wanted to share a little haul from a different shop, and what’s better right now than Superdrug, with their incredible 3 for 2 offer across all cosmetics!?

I recently picked up some handbag essentials, alongside some other beauty treats for myself, so here’s what I picked up!IMG_2208Essentials

Maybelline Baby Lips Chap Stick | I’ve just ran out of all of my various lip balms, so I did need to pick another one up. I’ve definitely found that Baby Lips are by far the best to use, because they keep your lips moisturised for so much longer than any other lip balm. I decided this time to pick up an unscented and colour-free one because they are much more versatile, so I can wear this with anything.

Cuticura Antibacterial Hand Gel | In order to take full advantage of the 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug, I thought I’d pick up this because it is always so handy to have in your bag, and it can keep you from getting unwell! This particular one is ‘Fresh and Fruity’ and it does smell quite nice, still like an anti-bacterial hand gel, but nice.

Halo Hand Wipes | Similarly to the hand gel, I’ve found that hand wipes are so perfect to keep in your bag (especially if you’re a beauty blogger and you can’t go into any Boots, Superdrug, or any shop that sells makeup without swatching lipsticks, highlights, eye shadows, blushes etc all over your hands, only to step out of the shop looking insane and running the risk of staining your clothes.)

Dual Pencil Sharpener | Recently I’ve also bought some new lip liners and waterline eyeliners, and I realised that while they are perfect right now, at some point I am going to need to sharpen them! So this was another obvious essential for me. I also like that as a dual sharpener, you can sharpen bigger things too, like eyeshadow pencils.

IMG_2209Nails

Maybelline Colour Show Blushed Nudes Varnish | Maybelline have just released their Blushed Nudes collection, so when I saw this particular colour ‘Dusty Rose’ I really liked it, as it seemed like another perfect neutral colour for me to wear.

Maybelline Colour Show 60 Seconds Clear Shine | I’m currently running a test to find the best top coat/gel coat for avid nail varnish wearers, so I thought this particular top coat sounded like a promising contender. Don’t worry, I’ll let you know how it goes and which ones comes out best!

IMG_2211Makeup

B. Blending Sponge | I recently had my eyes opened with makeup sponges. I found that no matter how much or how regularly I cleaned my makeup sponges, I could never remove what appeared to be tiny black dots, speckled in random places on the sponge. Like most people who own these sponges, I assumed it was just waterproof makeup that maybe I couldn’t remove. But it turns out, it’s actually mould. Doesn’t that freak you out?! So obviously, as soon as I found that out, I threw my sponges away, hence the new sponge.

Collection Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner | I’ve loved wearing winged liner for so many years now, and I’ve used liquid liner, pencils, and felt pens, but never a gel eyeliner. So because of it’s incredibly affordable price, followed by Superdrug’s amazing 3 for 2 offer, I thought I’d pick up a gel eyeliner, and see how I get on!

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Makeup Setting Spray | Just like the gel liner, I have heard lots of things, both good and bad, about makeup setting sprays, so I thought it’d be a good idea to test out a drugstore one, and if I like it, I might try out one of the Urban Decay ones.

Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer | I’ll always be a sucker for various shades of pink lipsticks, so after swatching a fair few shades from Makeup Revolution, I decided that this shade, ‘What I Believe’, was a lot more vibrant than any shades I already own, and I really like it, especially for Spring and Summer looks.

Collection Colour Lash Colour Mascara | One of my very fabulous best pals (sneaky shoutout, you know who you are) told me that she actually uses a clear mascara to keep her brows tame throughout the day, and I thought this was a freaking genius idea! I know that you can buy clear brow gels, but this mascara is 3 times as big as those, so I thought this is definitely a better value for money.

That’s everything for my Superdrug haul! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and that you take advantage of the 3 for 2 deal that Superdrug are currently holding, it’s definitely one you don’t want to miss!

Is there anything I’ve talked about that you’ve tried? Let me know how you got on with it!

Makeup Revolution Blush & Contour Palette

Hey guys! As you may have seen, there’s a major love for Makeup Revolutions palettes among the blogging community, and who can blame us, look at how gorgeous they are!

I’ve had the ‘Golden Sugar Blush & Contour’ palette for quite a while now, and I’ve been really impressed with it, so today I’m going to talk you through why I really like this product.IMG_1939Firstly, there’s the formulation of this product. As Makeup Revolution describe this palette, “we explore the most amazing collection of bronzers, merged blushers, baked bronzer and 2 merged baked highlighters.” Each colour is incredibly creamy, particularly the baked highlighters and blushers.

Makeup Revolution actually are my favourite brand (apart from Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminated) for highlighters, as they are so beautifully pigmented and the shimmer makes everyone that wears them look like sparkling, radiant beings.

I was also highly impressed with the variations of shades within this palette. If you’re a Makeup Revolution fan, you’ll know that they have quite a wide collection of highlighters, bronzers, and blush palettes, but usually they conform to a particular shade, and include slight variations of that shade. Whereas this palette covers a much cooler variation of shades, which I think makes this palette perfect for many more variations of skin tone.

Overall, my favourite thing about this palette is the fact that it pretty much covers your entire base. With highlighters, blushers and bronzers, it’s perfect for including in a travel makeup bag, since it contains everything but your base.

That’s everything I can think to mention about this palette, I would definitely recommend picking it up and giving it a try for yourself, especially because just like all Makeup Revolution products, it’s highly affordable.

Have you tried this product? Let me know how you found it in the comments!

Quick & Easy Valentine’s Makeup Look

Dudes, before you overlook this post thinking to yourself, “Corinne, I really don’t need to watch another video with far too many steps to be practical, with far too many products for anyone to necessarily own”, this post is different.

Yes it’s a Valentine’s Day inspired post, but it actually is really quick, easy, and there’s no red lip in sight.backgrounderI know most Valentine’s Day makeup tutorials talk about different shades of red to perfectly suit every skin colour, but the truth is that some people just don’t want to wear a red lipstick, so this look is a simple but romantic ‘loved-up’ look. All I’ve used to create this look is 6 products (and one tool, but I’m not counting that) and it takes roughly 10 minutes to be fully done.IMG_1255

Start out by prepping your skin with moisturiser, then complete your usual foundation regime. I’ve then lightly contoured with the Estée Lauder “All Over Face Compact” and highlighted with Makeup Revolution’s “Blush” Palette.

Then fill in your eyebrows and apply ‘Mink’ from Soap & Glory’s “The Perfect 10” palette all over your eyelid, then apply a little bit of ‘Nudecomer’ to define the crease of your eye, and finally a little bit of ‘Moon Mist’ to the very inner corners of your eyes.

Once you’ve finished your eyeshadow, draw a thin cat eye with eyeliner, and apply some glue to some light and fluttery lashes. I am in love with this set from Fleur De Force by Eyelure because they are actually only 3/4 of the usual size of eyelashes, so they focus on the outside of your eyes, making your eyes look super big, and your lashes natural and fluttery!

Once the glue has almost dried and become tacky, curl your lashes, and then apply the falsies, and fill in any gaps with your eyeliner. The final step is to apply Bourjois’ “Rouge Edition Velvet” in the colour ‘Nude-ist’.

And you’re done! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and like this look, I really wanted to give you a different option to a bold red lip for Valentine’s. Let me know if you’re going to be wearing a similar look for Valentine’s Day!

What are you getting up to this Valentine’s Day?

Brand Focus: Makeup Revolution

After finishing my beauty advent calendars, I realised that I now have a hearty collection of all things Makeup Revolution, so today I’m talking you guys through a selection of their products, with reviews of everything, now there is a lot, so let’s get through this!

Brand Focus Makeup Revolution ALLBrand Focus Makeup Revolution Face ProductsFace

Primer | This primer is perfect for either all-over-face makeup, or just as an eyeshadow primer. It’s incredibly light and soft, and not sticky at all. I was impressed with this primer, as it made my makeup last a few hours longer than usual in the day. The only downside to it being as light as it is, is that you tend to use a little bit more than you would with other primers because you aren’t aware of it being on your face.

Highlight | These highlighters are insane. They are beautiful, and one of my favourite drugstore highlighters. My favourite is the ‘Pink Lights’ as I find that it suits my skintone the best. All you need is a very light dusting across your cheeks and you’re set for the whole day (or night!) They are nicely pigmented, so you don’t need to go overboard when applying.

Blush | I think the blushes are a bit of a miss, but this might just be because they aren’t well suited for my skintone. As you can see in my swatches, ‘Treat’ is much too similar to my skintone to be a blush, ‘Wow’ is a bit too barbie-pink for it to be wearable daily for me. The best blush for me would be ‘Now’, but I find it too orange-based for a blush, I’d be much more confident wearing this as an eyeshadow.

Palettes | If I was forced to pick only one product from Makeup Revolution, it’d definitely be a palette. The palettes combine a huge amount of perfectly blendable creamy shades. I was surprised at the amount of shades in the palettes, as they are so affordable! My favourite palette of them all is the ‘Beyond Flawless’ as it has everything you need to create basic eye looks, more complicated looks, rose gold inspired looks and a dark smoky eye. So many of the shades in this palette remind me of those in the Naked 3, and it’s only £8! I also really like that Makeup Revolution have more unusual palettes, as a lot of palettes available nowadays are quite basic nudes.

Mono Eyeshadows | I have never known such creamy and well pigmented mono eyeshadows. My favourite shade is ‘Mountains of Gold’, because it’s a beautiful gold colour, but with a shimmer that I’ve never seen before. (It also really reminds me of my favourite shade from Urban Decay’s Naked 3, ‘Trick’!)

Brand Focus Makeup Revolution LipglossesLipgloss

Lip Lacquer | I picked up this lip lacquer just before Halloween last year, and my only wish is that I could wear it more often! As it says, it goes on as a liquid, and dries matte. The Salvation Lip Lacquers are really gorgeous colours, but they are usually not ones that you can wear daily. I also found that you need to reapply quite frequently as they do break up after roughly an hour.

Intense Lipgloss | Now as you can see, I could only swatch the red lipgloss, and that’s because the doe foot applicator for the pink shade is stuck at the bottom of the lipgloss. I was really disappointed as this shade looks like a lipgloss that I’d actually enjoy wearing! The lipglosses themselves aren’t particularly sticky, but as you can also see, the really deep red actually comes out as more of a pink, so they aren’t as pigmented as they appear in the packaging.

Sheer Lipgloss | The sheer lipglosses are a lot stickier than the Intense Lipglosses, but they are available in really gorgeous colours. The first one is a very subdued gloss, adding just a touch of shimmer to your lips, and the second one is a very wearable medium-nude pink

Brand Focus Makeup Revolution MascaraMascara

The Viper | This is one of the only things that has disappointed me. The wand is shaped just like the head of a cobra, which I understand is inkeeping with the name of the mascara, but it makes it quite difficult to apply, and once you have applied it, is doesn’t really do much to elongate, curl or volumise lashes. This mascara is one of the only things I wouldn’t repurchase.Brand Focus Makeup Revolution Mascara The Viper Wand

Brand Focus Makeup Revolution LipsticksLipstick

Lipsticks | Another one of my favourite things from Makeup Revolution! These lipsticks are creamy, well pigmented, and highly wearable! When I saw some of these colours I was quite intimidated by them, but I’ve found myself even wearing the orange shade! They are reasonably long lasting, but I would recommend reapplying roughly halfway through the day. I can’t believe how much I really like these lipsticks, again, considering how affordable they are.Brand Focus Makeup Revolution Lipsticks Swatches

Brand Focus Makeup Revolution Nail PolishesNails

Nail Polishes | I like  there is a wider variety of polishes, and they’re not exclusively bright or pastels. They dry quite quickly, usually in just over a minute. For the colour to be true to that of the bottle, you do have to apply a a couple of coats, and they last around 5-6 days.

That’s it for today, do you have any favourite products from Makeup Revolution, or have you never tried any of their stuff?

2015 Highlights

Hello everyone! It’s the start of a new year, so that of course means I’m going to talk about my favourites from the last year!

I’ve included random favourites as well as beauty favourites, but I have limited myself, because if I was going to talk about everything I loved from this past year, we’d be here until Halloween.

So here we go with my 2015 (almagamated) favourites!IMG_0496BEAUTY

Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette | Yes, as this past year was the year I started my blog, I thus opened my eyes to the world of Urban Decay, and naturally, the famous Naked 3. I am so glad I invested in this palette because it has everything you could need in a palette, whether you’re new to makeup, or much more confident in it. These rose-gold hues really do live up to the hype, and the lasting power (when used in conjunction with Urban Decay’s primer) is unreal.

Estée Lauder All Over Face Compact | This compact is another great all-occasions-product. The bronzer is my favourite bronzer to use for contouriing and adding some dimension and colour to a base, and the variations of blusher colour are great to adapt to different looks.

Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara | I tried this mascara out reasonably early in the year, and I haven’t bought another one since. It creates a false-lash look, without the mess/hassle of applying falsies!

Collection’s 24 Hour Extreme Felt Liner | As if I haven’t already spoken enough about this eyeliner. It’s my lifetime favourite, not just from 2015. You can hear plenty more about it HERE, HERE and HERE.

Rimmel Lipstick in #700 ‘Naughty Nude’ | I’ve always been after a nude colour to suit my skin tone, and holy heck have Rimmel found it. So if you are also looking for the perfect nude, and we have similar colouring, definitely check out the ‘Only 1’ range.

Maybelline Baby Lips | The best chapstick on the market. I also really like that they are available in different colours, so you can have a slight tint to your lips without having to use a lipstick as well as a chapstick.

Makeup Revolution Highlighter in ‘Pink Lights’ | This is one of the prettiest and most affordable drugstore highlighters. It looks beautiful, and you only need a light swipe of it for it to really shine.

IMG_0498TREATS

Dead Sea Mud Masks | I picked these up one day because they are really cheap, and you get 2 masks in a pack, so I thought I’d try them out. In fact, you can generously get 4 masks out of these 2 packs, so it’s even better value for money! These masks are perfect for a pamper night while you’re in the bath, or just a quick mask before bed. They’re very refreshing and cooling, so also suitable for all skin types.

Lush’s ‘Shoot For The Stars’ Bath Bomb | Again, perfect for a pamper night. I think my love for the sea means I have a deeper love for blue bath bombs, because it turns your bath into a gorgeous clear-blue sea colour. An the added sparkle just makes the whole thing a dream, come on.

Bluetooth Speaker | These speakers are amazing. I know they’re nothing new, but I am now old enough to be fascinated by the fact that the music is being transported through the air from my phone/laptop to this speaker. It’s also surprisingly loud in comparison to it’s size!

Nivea Sensitive Day Moisturiser | Once I’d realised the error of my ways with using Nivea’s ordinary moisturiser in my regular skincare routine (clogged pores, greasiness, makeup sliding!) I wanted to find a much lighter and gentler moisturiser to use daily. And this moisturiser is the ideal one! It’s light enough to be used regularly, and not clog your pores.

IMG_0500LIFE

Sparkly Shoes | 2015 was the year I widened my shoe-horizon and discovered a world outside of dolly shoes and heels, and by far, these sparkly flats are my new favourite type of shoes. They are insanely comfortable, and look fabulous, let’s not deny that.

Makeup Brushes | What with starting my blog, I saw the taboo of using the makeup sponges that come with almost every eyeshadow palette, and discovered the world of makeup brushes. This set came with 15 brushes, everything you’d need to start out with makeup, from Amazon!IMG_0707Scarf | This scarf is amazing. It keeps you ridiculously warm when you need it, but also doubles as a blanket during lectures. So that’s all very good, and much more than you expect from a scarf, for sure.

Backpack | My little backpack is definitely my favourite bag from 2015. It’s practical and cute. All of the compartments and pockets means that even the contents of my bag are sorted into categories, how exciting!

Space Flask | Again, perfect for when you’ve got 10am lectures and your brain likes to come through at roughly 11am. I really like this design from Paperchase, and it’s available in multiple products, I’ve actually got a matching poster because I like to rep space, it’s pretty cool after all.

THAT’S IT! Phew, well done everyone for making it through that, it was certainly a recount of an entire year if ever there was one. Again, I’m going to soppily thank you all for reading this lil site, it means a lot to me. At the end of this month, Organicbynerve is going to be turning 1, and I can’t wait to celebrate that with every one of you!
