Work In Progress // Yelling, Remixes & Get A Shoutout Next Week!

We’re back again! We’ve been working on that progress, and Gemma and I are back this week with a brand new podcast! As you guys know, we’re both posting a brand new podcast every Friday this month, with a new topic each week for us to chat about.

The topic for this week was music, so Gemma and I decided to put together a collaborative playlist, featuring 5 songs chosen by her, and 5 chosen by me.

This makes for a really interesting playlist, and a great mix of music. So in this weeks podcast, Gemma and I introduce each of our chosen songs while explaining why we’ve included them in the playlist. So without further introduction, here is our latest podcast!

As we mentioned in the podcast, we’d love for you guys to check out the songs that we’ve included, so here is the playlist itself for you to check out and have a little listen to!

Thank you again for listening to us, we hope that you’re enjoying our podcasts! Don’t forget that the topic of next weeks one is blogging, so if you’re a blogger novice, pro, or want to become one, drop us your questions and tips either in the comments, or you can tweet me your questions HERE. We’ll see you next week!

Work In Progress // Introductions, Sound & WIN Tickets To Dartmoor Zoo

The wait is finally over! I know I’ve been teasing you guys since the 1st, as I announced that myself and my friend Gemma were going to be putting together a weekly podcast for this month, alongside me posting everyday. But we’ve made it to the first one!

We had a lot of fun planning these podcasts, and even more fun recording them. The theme of this weeks podcast is our magazine, Sound. We put it together with our fellow students at uni, and it’s now all over Plymouth! In this weeks podcast, we take you through the process of putting the mag together, alongside playing some music, discussing Instagram captions and how you can win a family ticket to Dartmoor Zoo.

So without futher adieu, here is week one of our podcast series: Work In Progress.

I’d like to give a major thanks to Gemma, from An Ocean Glimmer, for helping out with this podcast, and being my partner in crime for this new venture. Another thanks to Sound, for providing us with the fuel to create an hour-long podcast (as you heard, we were convinced that this podcast was half an hour long, and not the 54 minutes that it actually is.) Don’t forget that you can keep up to date with us and the magazine by following us on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/soundofplymouth That leads me into my final thank you, thank you to you, for listening to our very first podcast. As I said, it means a lot to us and we’re hella grateful.

If you loved what you heard, and wish that you could binge-listen (if that’s a thing) to our podcasts, then have no fear, for a brand new podcast will be coming next Friday, June 17th! The topic of our next podcast is set to be Spotify Playlists, so if you’re a big fan of music, particularly a mix of any music from the 70’s, all the way up to current tunes, we’ve got you covered.

It’s finally here.

I’ve been working on this for a little while now, and I can safely say I think I’ve covered all of my favourite jams. Some of these songs are quite personal to me, and others are just tunes that I really enjoy listening to, and get me up and dancing.

I thought creating and sharing a playlist with you guys is fun because you get to know me a little bit better by seeing what type of music I enjoy. Of course I know that it won’t be to everyone’s taste, but that’s fine because music is all about expressing yourself, no one else.

This leads me onto reminding you guys to never do something because everyone else is, or to listen to something everyone else is, or and this is the worst, not listening to what you enjoy because it’s not to someone else’s taste. Music is about self-expression. We listen to music that resonates with us, that expresses the emotions we don’t understand, or don’t know how to express ourselves, and get us through tough times by assuring us that we are not alone in what we feel.

I’ve said it before, but we are so fortunate to live in a world where people can be creative through music, and share their creativity with the world. Music is everywhere, in everything, and I couldn’t be happier with that.

So without further adieu, here is my playlist. I may continue adding to it, or I may make this a feature and bring you guys a monthly playlist post, who knows. In the meantime, do enjoy.

Do you have Spotify playlist that I can follow? I love discovering new music, so link it below!

I’d also like to mention that it appears the first song on my playlist is Shake It Off by Taylor Swift, it appears every time I link to the playlist. I’m unsure if this is a random fault, but I cannot correct it myself.
